EFFECTIVE CONCRETE REPAIR
MADE IN HOURS for LESS COST, MESS and DISRUPTION

What is Concrete Raising / Concrete Lifting?

Concrete raising is a term used to do exactly that – raise concrete. This is also referred to in many different terms – mudjacking, slabjacking, concrete lifting, sidewalk lifting, sidewalk jacking, slab lifting, concrete leveling, slab leveling, sidewalk leveling … and so on. These terms refer to the method of raising concrete to match an existing grade, thus eliminating trip hazards, drainage problems, sunken concrete areas, and improving general aesthetics of concrete slabs.

Mudjacking lifts sunken concrete by injecting a slurry beneath the slab, stabilizing the slab and leveling it to the desired grade. The mixture flows beneath the slab, filling the void that caussink, anded the slab to raising the slab with pressure. The void is filled, the slab is raised and leveled, and as a result is more stable than it was before. The repair is done quickly, often with little or no mess, and the slab can be used again within hours – not days!

What Can Be Lifted?

    Concrete Sidewalks
    Walkways
    Garage Floors
    Patios
    Pool Decks
    Coloured Concrete
    Stamped Concrete
    Exposed-aggregate Concrete
    Flagstone Laid in Concrete
    Curb-face Slabs…

Sunken concrete can cause numerous problems –

Trip hazards, ponding or pooling of water, improper drainage, unsightly walkways, etc. Raising the concrete using our method saves time and money! Breaking out and replacing concrete is not only more costly and takes much more time, but the new concrete material will not match the existing concrete and creates a much less aesthetic view. Grinding down concrete to eliminate trip hazards looks messy and unsightly and causes breakdown of the concrete, while mudjacking produces better results.

The 1-2-3 Method
of Concrete Raising / Concrete Lifting
Concret Lifting Demonstration

1.

We drill a series of holes in the sunken slab at selected locations into which the mud mixture will be pumped.

2.

We mix the mud using a plaster mortar mixer. Mud mixture is preferably a good loam topsoil relatively free of sand, clay and pebbles.

3.

We pump the mixture into the holes. The premixed mud is poured into the Mud-Jack which pumps it through the holes where it flows easily and fills all the voids beneath the sunken slabs.

Making Concrete Raising More Afforable and Effective

Over the years Pioneer North Concrete Raising Inc. has manufactured its own mud-pumping machines and fine-tuned the concrete raising method to make it more affordable, more effective, and easier to pump volumes of slurry into larger voids – all while maintaining customer satisfaction and quality.
